The Quest for Family

Jessica had a turbulent childhood and situations that made life unbearable for her. Her free-spirited mother only prioritized her own fun and happiness. Nothing else mattered, not even Jessica’s needs as a girl child. As a result, Jessica had to move from city to city and from one country to another, as her mother kept divorcing and remarrying different men. Jessica passed through a traumatizing journey that began from birth, but she didn’t allow it to define her. She managed to overcome the numerous challenges while promoting a life of selflessness toward others. Through her faith in Christ, Jessica eventually transformed from a lonely and vulnerable child to someone who now gives hope to the hopeless.

Characters in the book include Jessica, Adam, Jo, Warrick, GG, William, Olive, Delilah, Clancy, Brute and Charles among others.

The Quest for Family is a touching true life story, although names of its characters were altered to protect the identity of those involved. The book also gave an insight on how life used to be years ago; about family orientation, relationships, adventures etc. It equally proves that one can still live a meaningful life despite passing through dysfunctional formative years. It’s not only interesting to read but also has lots of lessons.
